I'm Back.

Sorry it has been almost a MONTH since i last posted. To all my faithful followers, (hahaha) i apologize.
Well, I started my senior year, and it is pretty much the same as any other year, with more perks. Like, way more people know who i am, the teachers like me, and i can pretty much get away with more stuff. but its not like i take advantage of that or anything... :) I am taking AP Gov and English, Psychology, a weights class, a Team Sports class, and seminary. It is pretty sweet. but i wish i had less homework.
I decided to do swim team for school this year, i made this decision about two weeks before school started, and am not regretting it yet :) we have practice Monday-Friday, 2:30-6, and its actually pretty fun. I am making new friends, which i love, and the coach is as nice as a coach concerned with making us the best possible swimmers we can be, can be. if that makes sense. but i like her. Our first meet is this Tuesday, and i am competing in the 50 freestyle, 100 back stroke, and probably a few relays, coach is going to tell us on Monday. I am pretty nervous. But its going to be fun :)
That is pretty much what is going on with me, for the time being. I shall try to update more often :) toodles.

I LOVE FOOD

I love food. So much. Too much. I eat all the time. I just can't help myself. So I have decided to post pictures of the food I eat/make/think is cool. Today's featured food item is..............
I am not sure of the proper name for this is, omelet? Skillet? Well, it is potatoes, ham, eggs, and cheese. Can you say DELICIOUS? Sadly, we were out of green onions or they would have been included in this dish as well.
This was so fun to make! I love cooking because it makes me feel grown up :) In my family, I think I am the only kid who makes food for themselves. Like seriously. I will make pasta or a bean burrito or rice or something and everyone else will...not make food haha. It is pretty funny.

Girls Camp

This week I was at Girls Camp. We left Tuesday morning, and came home Saturday. It was so much fun! I was a fourth year YCL, or a youth camp leader over the fourth year girls, at a different camp than the other girls. We did more high adventure stuff, like rappelling, hiking, canoeing, shooting, etc. The first night it rained so hard, our tent partly collapsed and I only got, like, three hours of sleep. Miserable. But that was the low point of the week, the rest was awesome.Here are three of the cute girls I was over this week: Jessie, Lexy, and Bryndee. I made my girls tie-die shirts because the name of our group was the Fat Cows, so I tried to make these shirts look like cows! :) I am so glad I got to be over these girls and go to camp!

SUMMER

School is over!!!! My junior year did not end with a bang, it flew by. Finals, AP Tests, messing around in classes because teachers were as ready for summer as we were...I was upset though because this year AP classes were required to have a final and the AP test. It was such a rip off. But its all good... My first week of summer has been so lazy!! It has been fun hanging out with friends, going to the movies with old friends, and reading into the wee hours of the morning. Here are some pictures of school:

Our table and the table next to ours sang happy birthday to us SO LOUD, it was kinda embarrassing. Luckily, since there are two of us, half of the people said 'Katie' first and half said 'Lexi' first, so you couldn't really pick out either name clearly :)

Birthdays, Prom, and Other Stuff

Monday is Nick's birthday, and Tuesday is my and Lexi's birthday. So today, Nick got his present and Lexi got hers:

Lexi got her own phone! So now we don't share one anymore! YAY
Mike went to prom at his school today. (My mom is going to be so mad that I blogged about her son's prom before she did... :) ) He took this really great girl, Amanda, who is so pretty:

AP TEST

Today I took my AP HISTORY TEST. After so much studying I am finally done with that class!! But I actually really liked it, learning about the history of our nation. Last year I took an AP World History class, so it was nice to limit the history to just one country. This was my teacher's first year teaching in Arizona, he moved from Florida, and ...lets just say we were learning about the Kennedy presidency last week. Ya. But there was not much on the test I felt ..never mind I am not allowed to talk about it. :) But I feel that I did well on the essay part of the test: A DBQ (document based question, we have to use 10 or so documents that we have never seen before to answer a question they give us, use them as evidence in our argument), and 2 free response questions. Oh did i forget to mention the EIGHTY multiple choice questions? And the time limit: FIFTY FIVE MINUTES. 'Nuff said.
I dont get my results until mid-July. I just want to check online for my results right now but I have to wail til summer to get them in the mail!! AGH.

I have my AP English test next Wednesday. For that one, we have a Synthesis essay, a Rhetorical Strategy essay, and an Argument Essay. And 55 multiple choice questions in 60 minutes. (that sounds like a piece of cake compared to the history test, but we have to answer those questions about passages we have to read and analyze). That is going to give me a major headache. :/ ah the things we do for college...
